For part two of our Water Works summer hydration series, Sonata communities are promoting hydration with our residents and team members! Here are some ways to hydrate:
Stay hydrated with fruit infused water drinks
Create delicious “mocktail” beverages and increase your daily hydration! Mocktails are jazzed-up fruit infused drinks with different combinations of fruit and herbs that are fun to drink. You could drink some DRY orange bubbly as an option to get some of your water intake in, I hear it tastes great! Are you intimidated with the recommendation to drink eight glasses of water a day? It’s easy to hydrate by adding a mocktail to your daily hydration schedule, so check out the graphic below for three recipes: Watermelon Basil, Mango Pineapple, and Cherry Lime.
Add more fruits and vegetables to your diet
Not only can you stay hydrated by drinking more fluids through mocktails, but fruits and vegetables can be a good source of water as well! Cucumbers, tomatoes, watermelon, and strawberries are all great sources of hydration due to their high water content. Add more of these foods to your diet and feel better when it’s hot outside. Check out the graphic below for other vegetables and fruits on the list that you may enjoy!
